`More young people taking life cover'

MORE young people have the security of insurance protection today.

According to a study conducted by Birla Sun Life Insurance, between April and September, there has been a rise in the number of young people purchasing insurance.

The study showed an increase of 30 per cent amongst the lives insured in the age group of up to 25 years. There has also been a rise in parents buying life insurance plans for their children (up from 19.2 per cent in March to 25 per cent in September).

According to a press release, Ms Anjana Grewal, Vice- President, Birla Sun Life Insurance said, "It is a healthy trend for us to see a distinct increase in younger lives being insured."
