Population concerns

This has reference to the article `Population can be an asset too' (Business Line November 18). At a time when India's problems are constantly blamed on population explosion, the article offers fresh thought.

However, I do not agree that a mere lifestyle change alone would make population growth an asset. What needs to be done is increase education, health facilities and improve infrastructure.

These will ensure that we have an educated and healthy population that will put the country back on the growth track.

Murtuza Rohawala
