Commodity Exchanges NCDEX Nov contracts witness record deliveries Our Bureau
Mumbai , Nov. 22 NOVEMBER contracts on National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Ltd (NCDEX) saw a record open interest to deliveries ratio. Out of the 15 commodities delivered on the exchange, nine commodities saw open interest to deliveries ratio of over 80 per cent that include sesame seed, Maharashtra tur, castor, jeera, lemon guar gum, pepper and wheat. Total deliveries of these nine commodities were 22,224 tonnes. The exchange saw deliveries in 3 commodities touch new heights. Deliveries in guar gum at 1,635 tonnes (98.20 per cent of open interest) and wheat at 11,790 tonnes (76.81 per cent) broke previous records. The exchange saw record deliveries on its metal contracts too with gold deliveries of 200 kgs, Silver recorded deliveries of 6,990 kgs (83.81 per cent), an exchange release said. Previous record for gold was 26 tonnes in October. Previous record for wheat was 4,400 tonnes. Sesame seeds at 20 tonnes and Maharashtra tur at 10 tonnes recorded 100 per cent deliveries.
