Alliances & Joint Ventures Intelligroup sets up centre for Hitachi Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Nov. 22 CONSULTING and technology solutions provider Intelligroup Inc has formed an alliance with Hitachi Ltd, Information & Telecommunication Systems Group, to establish the `Hitachi Global Solution Centre (GSC)' in Hyderabad. Through this, Intelligroup will support Hitachi's global outsourcing requirements by providing systems development, maintenance and support services for enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications, primarily SAP. Intelligroup established its Centre of Excellence in Hyderabad to provide services that go beyond application management services (AMS) and improve business performance metrics. These services serve the customer's business analysts, process owners, and application specialists' community. The Chief Executive Officer of Intelligroup, Mr Vikram Gulati, said, "This is an extension of Intelligroup's long-standing relationship with Hitachi and will act as a hub to provide global outsourcing capabilities for Hitachi and other Hitachi customers. Initially, this centre will begin its operations with 100 consultants supporting Japanese and the US-based global companies. The Executive Vice-President and head of Hitachi's Information and Telecommunication Systems Group, part of the $84.4-billion Hitachi, Mr Kazuo Furukawa, said, "The Hitachi GSC will serve as the foundation for Hitachi's global solutions business, especially global outsourcing services."
