Education S.P. Jain Center to offer MBA programme Our Bureau
Chennai , Nov 25 S.P. Jain Center of Management, the international initiative of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, will offer a one-year Global MBA programme, which provides students a choice to specialise in one of the six sectors and do the course in both its Dubai and Singapore centres. The sectors are retail management, IT management, investment banking, wealth management, services marketing and management and global logistics management, according to Prof A. Christopher, Vice-President, Business Development, S.P. Jain Center of Management, Dubai. As part of the residential course, which will commence from the academic year 2006-07, students would learn their core subjects for six months in Dubai and move to Singapore to specialise in the subjects. Similarly, students enrolling in Singapore would move to Dubai after six months. The two-city crossover model offers students to develop the right professionals skills and competencies needed to successfully lead and manage in a global environment, he told newspersons. It would cost Rs 12 lakh for the entire course. With average annual salary for those passing out from the institute at about Rs 8 lakh, one can get back the course fee in less than two years, he said.
