Our Bureau

Chennai , Dec. 1

EXCEPT for an oil tanker working at Bharathi Dock 1, all other commercial ships have been moved out of the Chennai port to anchorage following a cyclone over the Bay of Bengal.

The local weather department has hoisted Signal V at the port, and it is mandatory for the port trust to move the ships out of the port for safety, said a Chennai Port Trust official.
