New intra-Asia container service

KOLKATA: STX Pan Ocean is to launch a new intra-Asia container service from the middle of this month to cater to the burgeoning demand for container services between India and the Far East, according to shipping industry sources.

The new weekly service, to be known as KSI (Korea-Straits-India), will have the following port rotation: Pusan-Shanghai-Ningbo-Hong Kong-Singapore-Port Kelang-Nhava Sheva International Container Terminal-Port Kelang-Singapore-Hong Kong-Pusan.

The first vessel, Bahamian Express V, is scheduled to depart from Pusan on December 16.
