IAF air show on Sunday, Monday

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian Air Force will put up an air show at the Shankumughom beach on Sunday and Monday. Mr S.Y. Savur, Air Marshal, of the Southern Air Command Headquarters told newspersons that a `formation fly past' by three AN-32 aircraft at a height of 200 m under the stewardship of Group Captain, Mr I.P. Vipin, will be a major highlight of the show.

These aircraft will fly in the `VIC' formation, with an aircraft flying on either side of the leader. Slithering operation at a height of 15 m from MI-8 helicopters is another major event, which will be led by Wing Commander, Mr B.K. Sharma, and Squadron Leader, Mr P. Rajendran.

The Surya Kiran team also will roll out its breathtaking aerobatic displays under the leadership of Wing Commander, Mr S. Bansal. Also taking part in the event is the Air Devils team known for its skydiving abilities.
