Kottayam , Dec. 19

DOMESTIC rubber prices increased further on Monday. The sharp recovery in international futures kept the sellers on a vigil, while covering groups remained active expecting the re-entry of major manufacturers.

All major grades except ungraded rubber improved on all-round buying interest but latex 60 per cent lost on extremely low demand. NMCE January contract was quoted at Rs 71.10 (Rs 70.42), February at Rs 73 (Rs 72.40), March at Rs 73.96 (Rs 73.30) and April at Rs 75.15 (Rs 74.50) a kg for RSS 4. The January contract for the grade was traded at Rs 71.10 against Rs 70.68 a kg on MCXSpot prices per kg were: RSS-4: Rs 69.50 (Rs 69), RSS-5: Rs 67.50 (Rs 67), ungraded: Rs 65 (Rs 65), ISNR 20: Rs 67.25 (Rs 66.75), and latex 60%: Rs 48 (Rs 49).
