Public Sector Banks Allahabad Bank introduces 12-hour banking Our Correspondent
Madurai , Dec 20 ALLAHABAD Bank has introduced 12-hour banking from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m in Madurai and in 33 branches across the country effective December 16. This includes branches in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi, Patna, Ranchi and Varanasi. Gradually, the facility would be extended to other branches. The bank intends installing 109 more ATMs shortly. As many as 900 branches are to be brought under the centralised banking solution. The bank plans to achieve 100 per cent computerisation by March 2006, a release from the bank said.
