Talks likely on new Indo-Pak rail link

Our Bureau

New Delhi , Dec. 29

RAIL traffic may soon start between India and Pakistan through the Munnabao-Khokrapar link with the Pakistan delegation slated to meet the Indian Railway officials next week.

This would be the second rail link between India and Pakistan. The present functional rail link is between Attari and Wagah. "The inter-Governmental meeting for resumption of rail link between Munnabao (India) and Khokrapar (Pakistan) is scheduled to be held here from January 4 to January 7, 2006," said an official.

"The meeting would work out the modalities like customs clearance, train fares, frequency of trains and exact disembarkation points, amongst others," said the official.
