Sheet rubber declines

Our Correspondent

Kottayam , Dec. 31

DOMESTIC spot rubber prices were mixed on Saturday. Selling from dealers, who were in urgent need of liquid cash as they held excess stocks, kept sheet rubber under pressure at the weekend session.

According to sources, small dealers from the village markets were also suffering from financial shortage. Covering groups and purchase agents turned slightly cautious as the selling from dealers hit the market. NMCE January contract ended at Rs 71.95 ( 71.23); February at Rs 74.10 ( 73.31 ); March at Rs 75.04

(74.32) and April at Rs 76.35 ( 75.58 ) a kg for RSS 4.

February contract for RSS 4 closed at Rs 74 on MCX.

Spot prices a kg were: RSS-4: 70.75 (71.25); RSS-5 : 69 (69); ungraded: 66.75 (67); ISNR 20: 68.50 (68.50) and latex 60 per cent: 50 (50).
