Rubber under selling pressure

SELLING from dealers kept spot rubber prices under pressure on Thursday.

Unfavourable reports from the international markets and the uncertainty in domestic scene as major manufactures continued to remain inactive against expectations dampened the mood of the day.

According to sources, the market is expecting fresh offers from the producing sector in the following sessions.

January contract was traded at Rs 71.10 (Rs 71.66), February at Rs 73.01 (Rs 73.65 ), March at Rs 74.20 (Rs 74.91) and April at Rs 76.12 (Rs 76.22 ) per kg for RSS 4.

Physical rates a kg were: RSS-4: Rs 70.50 (Rs 71.25); RSS-5: Rs 68.50 (Rs 69.25); ungraded: Rs 67 (Rs 67); ISNR 20: Rs 68.25 (Rs 68.50); and latex 60%: Rs 50 (Rs 50).
