Alfa Laval India bags Rs 1.5-cr orders from Indian Navy

PUNE-BASED engineering major Alfa Laval India has bagged orders worth Rs 1.5 crore from the Indian Navy for supply of centrifuge systems for their new ships.
According to a statement issued to the national and Mumbai stock exchanges, the company has been an approved and registered supplier of its equipment to the Indian Navy and most of the shipyards for separation system for cleaning diesel engine fuel oil, gas turbine fuel oil, diesel engine lubricating oil, gas turbine lubricant oil and reduction gear box lub oils.
It noted that the company's centrifuge systems are capable of meeting shock, vibrations and noise level requirements and in consonance with naval standards such as NES, MIL, NATO and MARPOLE involving special inspection and quality plans and checks by Classification Societies.
The modules include self-cleaning and manual cleaning systems which will meet with their requirements up to 2009, the statement said.
