PNB extends festival offer in TN

Our Bureau

CHENNAI: Punjab National Bank has extended its festival offer for Tamil Nadu up to January 31. The offer is a 0.5 percentage point reduction in interest rate of all loans contracted during the period — except home loans, where the reduction is 0.25 percentage point.

The offer was valid until December 31, but has been extended for Tamil Nadu because of the Pongal festival, the bank's General Manager, Mr A. Balasubramanian, told a press conference hereon Thursday.

He said that the bank intended to open two more branches in Chennai — at Perungudi and Ramavaram. It also plans branches in Neyveli, Hosur, Theni, Gobichettypalayam and Rajapalayam in the State, he said.
