BoB to roll out CBS in 125 branches this year

BANK of Baroda (BoB) is in the process of bringing 1,979 branches under the CBS (Core banking Solution) platform by 2009.

Of these, the CBS roll out is likely to take place in 125 branches in 2006.

Mr. J.K. Chandar, General Manager, said the bank plans to expand into new lines of business such as life insurance and stock broking and cross sell products to augment fee-based income.

The bank plans to strengthen its international presence by opening additional offices in Canada, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Trinidad and Tobago and Isle of Man.
