FXLabs in pact with Archie Comics

FXLabs Studios has announced it has signed an exclusive agreement with Archie Comics Entertainment for the development of a videogame based on the Archie universe.

Under the working title "Archie's Riverdale Run', the FXLabs team has begun the development of the game to be featured on the PC and videogame consoles and is expected to be completed sometime in 2007.

Established in 2004, FXLabs Studios develops products for the PC and videogame consoles. With offices in Hyderabad and Seattle Washington, FXLabs develops entertainment software.

The game will feature the full cast of Archie characters, including Archie,

Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Reggie and many more. Each character will be recreated in full 3D and will be brought to life by the FXLabs team of programmers, artists and animators based here.

In addition, the entire town of Riverdale will be digitally recreated and feature many of the famous landmarks that Archie fans have come to know and love, according to a company release.
