Praj Ind bags contracts from Bajaj Hindustan

THE Pune-based Praj Industries, which specialises in ethanol technology, has bagged three contracts for the supply of technology, plant and equipment from sugar manufacturer Bajaj Hindustan.

A company statement said here on Monday that once commissioned, the three plantswould add half-a-million-litre capacity to the existing production, making Bajaj the largest alcohol producer, with a capacity of just below a million litres/day.

Meanwhile, the company is expanding its presence and is entering the EU and the US markets.
