Bangalore , Jan 19

INFOSYS Technologies has signed a partnership agreement with Paris-based embedded communications company Wavecom SA to address the growing machine-to-machine (M2M) wireless connectivity market.

M2M wireless connectivity uses cellular networks in conjunction with emerging technologies such as RFID (Radio frequency identification) and GPS (Global Positioning System). It has many applications such as telematics, telemetry, asset tracking and security.

As part of this agreement, Infosys Technologies becomes a Wavecom Certified Competence Center, and gains access to the Open AT, Wavecom's wireless software platform.

Now Infosys will be able to offer design, development and integration services based on Open AT, said the release issued by the company. The partnership will give Wavecom access to Infosys' global customers.
