Bihar Caustic net up 6 pc

MUMBAI: Bihar Caustic & Chemicals Ltd, a subsidiary of Hindalco Industries, has reported a 5.8 per cent increase in its third quarter net profit at Rs 6.69 crore against Rs 6.33 crore in the year-ago period.

Net sales for the quarter moved up by 8.30 per cent to Rs 31.39 crore from Rs 28.98 crore in the year-ago period.

Bihar Caustic produces caustic soda, liquid chlorine, hydrochloric acid and sodium hypo chlorite used mainly in the aluminium, paper and steel sectors and for water treatment plants.
