Chennai , Jan. 27

LEVER Ayush, HLL's foray into ayurvedic therapy centres, opened two new centres in the city on Wednesday, taking its count to 18 Ayush therapy centres across India

A collaboration between HLL and Arya Vaidya Pharmacy (AVP) of Coimbatore, the centres provide personalised health advice by experienced Ayurvedic physicians apart from offering holistic therapies involving Ayurvedic massages, diet, yoga, meditation and medicines.

There are eight Ayush centres in Chennai city while the rest are strung across other major cities. An HLL spokesperson said that Ayush expected to be in the top ten cities soon, from the seven it is present in now. While the Ayush brand has been pulled off retail shelves, the products are being sold from the Ayush centres and also sold through the HLL Network, it's multi-level marketing arm.

Lever Ayush had adopted the franchise model to roll out the therapy centres. The franchisees make the investment - anything between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 18 lakh a centre, while HLL markets and manages the Ayush brand, including the advertising.
