Wheat seminar to discuss emerging trends

DESPITE being the world's second largest producer after China, India has been a marginal player in the world wheat market. What will be the country's role in the global market in the coming years is a question engaging the attention of all stakeholders.

Wheat processing is one of the fastest growing industries in the country.

Rising incomes are driving changes in food habits. Food security and nutritional security are issues that demand attention.

To highlight the emerging trends and opportunities in wheat and wheat products, an international seminar will be held in New Delhi during March 7-8 where experts from within the country and abroad would discuss global and domestic market dynamics, risk management, processing technologies, value added products and related issues.
