Viruses `Wanted' intruder in your mail box! Our Bureau
Coimbatore , Feb. 3 VIRUS writers seem to try every trick to get users open the mail and download the attachment. The ploy allows hackers to create a security hole in the computer when the attachment is downloaded. The latest is `Troj/Stinx-N', a Trojan horse that spreads through spam e-mails. This one comes as a `wanted' ad, in search of a rapist on the run. The message talks about sexual assault of a student with description of the culprit with an appeal to inform authorities immediately if the culprit were spotted. If you run the attached file, this Trojan will create a passage for the intruder to sneak in. "So far this Trojan has spread only in the universities of North America and the UK, but it might spread wider," says Mr Aneesh Palival, Security Analyst, MicroWorld Technologies.
