Coimbatore , Feb. 4

THE bullish market trend for textile machinery has encouraged the global textile accessories producer Day International to widen the market share of its branded spindle accessories, cots and aprons, and the rubber-based accessories used in the short staple and long staple spinning machinery.

Day International supplies cots and aprons under the brand name `Accotex' and `Daytex' manufactured by its German plant under ATPG Textile Products Group or by its US plant. "We are keen to develop the Indian market to capitalise on increasing emphasis by the Indian textile mills on quality aspect of textile spares," according to Mr Wolfgang Hick, Sales Director of Day International's German unit, ATPG Textile Products Group GmbH. With higher investment being made into new generation textile machinery by the domestic industry which has set a higher quality connotations in their production to comply with the international quality norms, Day International also foresees a rise in the replacement market demand for its branded cots and aprons in India.

"We feel the demand for India's replacement market for the cots and aprons will go up with the Indian textile companies paying greater attention on using quality accessories," feels Mr Wolfgang Hick, who is currently on a business tour to India.

The company's cots and aprons are used by the global textile machinery majors (original equipment manufacturers) such as Reiter, Suessen, Zinser, Marzoli and Toyoda, besides India's Lakshmi Machine Works and China's Zingwei in the spinning preparatory and ring spinning machinery application.
