EDS gets big chunk of GM deal

NEW DELHI: Global IT services firm EDS on Friday said it has won the majority share of the five-year, multi billion dollar General Motors systems integration services awards announced recently.

"EDS has won about 70 per cent of the contracts it pursued, worth $3.8 billion over the next five years," an EDS release said here.

EDS' greement includes mission-critical systems in global product development, global manufacturing, purchasing and supply chain, global business services, mainframe operations, server operations, GM OnLine (desktops), local area networks, GMAC and OnStar.
