CHENNAI: Universitas 21 Global, the e-learning graduate school, will offer an MBA programme focused on entrepreneurship in family businesses in partnership with the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, said Dr Michael Goldberg, Chief Academic Officer. The programme is likely to start by the end of 2006.

The school, formed through a joint venture between an international network of research-intensive universities and Thomson Learning, offers an 18-subject MBA programme, along with four-subject and eight-subject diploma courses as options. Mr Goldberg said that currently about 300 students enrolled in the programme are from India, making it the second largest source of students for the company. The cost of the full 18-subject MBA programme is $8,300 (Rs 3.66 lakh).

The school also offers graduate programmes in information systems management, which will begin this month, he said.
