Toyota workers to go on hunger strike

Our Bureau

BANGALORE: The Toyota Kirloskar Motor Workers' union on Sunday said it will go on a hunger strike from Monday to force the company to accede to its demands which include taking back suspended employees.

A workers' union representative told Business Line that workers will go on a hunger strike in batches for the next few days and later resort to indefinite strike.

A company official said that no decision has been taken on whether such a deed will attract disciplinary action.

"We are watching the situation," he said.
