Mastek to set up centre for Areva arm

MASTEK has signed a strategic partnership with Euriware, a subsidiary of energy group Areva, to create a dedicated software development centre for the latter in India.

Euriware is a consulting and IT services group . Its expertise is based on the successful combination of its three core business activities: consultancy, system integration and `evolutionary' outsourcing; the company employs 2000 people, mainly in France.

Masteks's agreement with the company strengthens Euriware's system integration capabilities and strategic offerings which include: industrial performance, product lifecycle and data management, and the maintenance of business-critical systems, said a news release from Mastek.

Mr Krishna Gopinath, Head of Mastek's European operations said: "Mastek's capabilities are complementary to Euriware's strategic strengths. We both anticipate a very fruitful partnership that will enhance the delivery of quality business solutions."

"This investment in software development in India confirms our desire to deliver more effective solutions to our customers, as well as contributing to the growing internationalisation of Euriware's business," said Mr Jean-Marie Letourneux, Vice-President for Business and International Development, Euriware.
