Mumbai , Feb. 10

THE Indian subsidiary of French drug-delivery company Ethypharm will supply products to support an out-licensing deal that its parent has signed for the Columbian market.

Ethypharm has formalised a supply contract with Columbian drug-company Euroetika Ltd, an Ethypharm release said.

The deal covers three products: Tizanidine Sustained Release - a skeletal muscle relaxant, Metaclopramide Sustained Release - an antiemetic and Levocetirizine Orodispersible tablets - anti-histamine agent.

The products would be supplied from Ethypharm's plant near Mumbai as penultimate stage bulk formulations and converted to finished formulations in Colombia under technical supervision from Ethypharm, the release said.

Euroetika Ltd is a customer of Ethypharm for other Novel Drug Delivery System products.

The Columbian market is approximately $1.3 billion in 2004 and is growing at approximately 12 per cent.
