MOBILE communications major Nokia is in the process of rolling out five new models within the next six months. While the Nokia 6103 model is expected to be introduced before March 2006, other models - 6125, 6131, 6233 and 6070 - would be rolled out by June, said the Nokia Vice-President (Customer and Market Operations), South-ast Asia Pacific, Mr Mauro Montanaro.

Three of the five launches are flap models, while the 6233 and 6070 are flat ones. Unveiling the products at the `Showcase Nokia 2006: Toast to the Classics' event, Mr Montanaro said the company's products aimed to cater to the different lifestyle needs and preferences of mobile consumers in the mid-tier segment. The Showcase Nokia 2006 event was held in conjunction with the company's global participation at the 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.

The company on an average rolls out over 50 new models globally, every year. It had introduced 56 models in 2005. However, only 30 were introduced in India.
