`Tamiflu being stockpiled'

New Delhi , Feb. 19

"About 50,000 doses of Tamiflu (the drug to treat bird flu) have already been stockpiled and another 20,000 doses will be delivered next week. By the end of March, we hope to get another 30,000 doses," said Mr Vineet Chawdhry, Joint Secretary, Health Ministry.

The Ministry has already dispatched 9,000 doses of Tamiflu and 2,000 sets of personal protective equipment (PPE) to Maharashtra and about 2,000 doses of the drug and 1,000 PPEs have been sent to Gujarat.
