'Malaysia to make visa issuance for India easier'

Our Bureau

NEW DELHI: Malaysia is looking at ways to make issuance of visa to Indians more attractive and convenient, the Deputy Director General, Tourism Malaysia, Mr Mirza Mohammad Taiyab, has said.

"We are trying to see whether the visa can be given without the traveller sending the passport to the Embassy. We are also examining whether it can be made more attractive by giving those who we feel are deserving a multiple entry visa even if they are seeking a single entry visa," Mr Taiyab said.

Meanwhile, in an effort to attract more Indians, the Malaysian authorities have launched the global campaign for `Visit Malaysia Year 2007' in India.
