SEBI fiat to exchanges on compliance by cos

New Delhi , Feb. 21

THE Securities and Exchange Board of India has informed the Government that the stock exchanges are required to give their consolidated compliance reports on the revised clause 49 of the listing agreement by May 31 this year.

The Union Company Affairs Minister, Mr Prem Chand Gupta, stated this in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha.

He said that SEBI has indicated that it would be in a position to find out the compliance level of the companies after receiving the reports from the stock exchanges.
