The four-day international textile machinery exhibition, ITGME-2006, concluded here on Monday. The fair had attracted over 7,000 business visitors on the last day.

According to Mr M.A. Rayappan, Chairman of Hi-tech International Trade Fair (Pvt) Ltd, the organisers of the exhibition, the fair, which drew about 50,000 visitors during the last four days, had helped garner business valued about Rs 500 crore.

Among the machineries that invited more enquiries were the spinning preparatory, spinning, weaving and knitting machinery.

The largest participation is the textile machinery manufacturers from China who had taken part under the banner of China Textile Machinery Association.
