Coimbatore, March 6

Robert Bosch India Ltd's second development centre is coming up in Coimbatore. The project is expected to become operational within the next one year. Though Bosch sources were not available for comment, the Confederation of Indian Industry Coimbatore Zone Chairman, Mr Jayakumar Ramdass, confirmed the development and said the company had hinted that the establishment of this centre was a part of its de-risking strategy. It is learnt that the company would start operations with a few hundred employees and scale up the number to 2,500 within the next few years. "Huge talent pool, quality of life and good connectivity to various parts of the country" have been cited as the reason for locating its facility here.
