Our Bureau

New Delhi, March 9

Professional services firm KPMG on Thursday named Mr Russell Parera as Chief Executive Officer of its Indian operations from July 1. Mr Parera, now KPMG's head of audit services in the country, would take over from Managing Director Mr Ian Gomes, who moves to the firm's UK operations. Mr Richard Rekhy, head of Risk Advisory Services, would take over as the Chief Operating Officer from Mr Rupendra Singh, who has been named the non-executive chairman, KPMG said in a statement.

"At a time of success, the International Board of KPMG believes it is appropriate to hand over the running of the operations to a new generation of Resident Indian Partners with a challenge to maintain the momentum of recent years," KPMG International chairman, Mr Michael Rake said in the statement.
