Mobility Solutions to contribute Rs 100 crore

Bangalore , March 20

Bus manufacturer, JCBL Ltd expects its auto parts company launched last year to contribute at least 20 per cent to its total turnover in three years.

JCBL general manager, Capt M.S. Grewal told Business Line that its seat and component company, Mobility Solutions Ltd expects to contribute over Rs 100 crore to the group's turnover of Rs 500 crore in three years. JCBL expects to post a turnover of around Rs 250 crore during 2005-06. Capt Grewal said Mobility Solutions sees big orders from the state transport undertakings. Mobility Solutions has a technical tie up with APM of Malaysia.

Capt Grewal said the share of the unorganised sector in the seat market was as high as 50 per cent and hence the market is extremely competitive. He said Mobility Solutions has already started supplying components to Indian Railways and is likely to tie up with an international auto components company soon. He said Mobility Solutions is expected to post a turnover of around Rs 30 crore during 2005-06.

JCBL produces around 3,500 buses every year while its plant capacity is around 500 buses per month.

It expects to increase the production to around 4,500 buses per year from next year. The company supplies over 80 per cent of its production to Tata Motors and Mazda. It sells around 70 buses under its own brand.
