Ind-Swift gets Australian certification

New Delhi, March 22

Ind-Swift Laboratories Ltd has obtained the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) certification from the Australian Common Wealth Department of Health and Ageing for its Clarithromycin manufacturing facility situated at Derabassi, Punjab. The company is one of the largest manufacturers of Clarithromycin and enjoys 30-33 per cent of the world capacities for this drug.

"It is a significant achievement as the company is focusing on the regulated markets for its growth and the TGA certification will leverage the company's intrinsic potential and place it at par with the other leading players in the industry," said Mr V.K. Mehta, Joint Managing Director, Ind-Swift Labs. The company's facilities have already got the WHO and Iranian Government certification. It has stepped up its efforts to tap the regulated markets of the US, Japan and Australia for which company has already filed over 7 drug master files (DMFs) in the US and over 50 DMFs in the other European countries. The company has also filed 13 patents for non-infringing processes for its products in the US and India.
