MIT to collaborate with IFMR

Chennai, May 9

The Institute for Financial Management and Research (IFMR), Chennai, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology India Open Course Ware (MIT OCW) have signed a three-year agreement for developing course content and materials.The agreement involves adapting MIT India OCW to IFMR's curriculum and developing teaching methodologies jointly with select MIT faculty and students. The collaboration will be on advanced courses from the Sloan School of Management and MIT's Department of Economics, according to an IFMR press release.IFMR faculty will work with MIT faculty and advanced graduate students to adapt the courses to the Indian context. IFMR plans to leverage the relationship to advance its research and further develop its focus on teaching, Mr R. Chandrasekar, Head, Centre for Advanced Financial Studies at IFMR, said in the release.
