Groundnut oil gains on buying

All major edible oils gained some ground on the local edible oil market on Wednesday on some fresh buying enquiries. RBD palmolein was up Re 1 at Rs 393 per 10 kg. Groundnut oil raw was up Rs 2 at Rs 465 per 10 kg. Imported refined soya oil was up Rs 2 at Rs 392 per 10 kg. Crude soya oil imported was up Re 1 at Rs 371 per 10 kg. Castor oil commercial grade was down a rupee at Rs 324 per 10 kg.

In futures segment, castor seed June contracts opened at Rs 1,512 per quintal and ended higher at Rs 1,520 per quintal, up by Rs 12 over previous day on some support.
