Our Bureau

Bangalore, May 12

Afila Inc, a communications testing firm, plans to invest $3-4 million in expanding its Indian operations over the next 18 months, according to the CEO and founder, Mr Amar Mutt. Afila, which clocked revenue of $1.2 million for calendar 2005, is relying on its internal accruals to fund the expansion plans, he added. The company's expansion plans include setting up and expanding infrastructure and test labs for leading edge technologies. It expects to double the headcount of its India centre from 140 to 240 in 12 months. Afila, which sees great demand for testing services, expects 200 per cent growth in revenues in the next three years. The company expects to close 2006 with revenue of $3.6 million, Mr Mutt said.
