Oilseeds & Edible Oil Groundnut oil declines Our Bureau
Mumbai , May 19 Groundnut oil raw and crude soya oil oil prices weakened on the local edible oil market on Friday on some fresh offerings. Other major oils remained steady with stray buying interest. Castor oil commercial grade was steady at Rs 326 per 10 kg. RBD palmolein was steady at Rs 393 per 10 kg. Groundnut oil raw was down Rs 3 at Rs 462 per 10 kg. Sunflower oil expeller was steady at Rs 405 per 10 kg. Imported refined soya oil was steady at Rs 395 per 10 kg. Soya oil crude oil imported was down a rupee at Rs 374 per 10 kg. In futures segment, trading resumed in castorseed August contracts. The contract opened higher at Rs 1,592 and settled firm at Rs 1,594 per quintal over June contract. No trading was reported in castor seed June contracts.
Sugar weak
Sugar spot prices continued to rule weak at the Vashi wholesale market on Friday in the absence of fresh buying from retailers amid steady inflows from mills. Small grade (S-30) was down Rs 10 at Rs 1,895/1,945 per quintal over previous day. Medium grade (M-30) was down Re 1 at Rs 1,930/1,980 per quintal over previous close.
