Hyderabad , May 24 China's Suzhou Industrial Park International Science Park (SIPIS), which developed office space for global IT, financial services and R&D companies, has decided to focus its fifth phase exclusively on software, IC (integrated circuit) design and animation companies. While the first three phases were completed and occupied fully, the fourth one would be ready by the year end, according to Ms Daisy Gao, Deputy General Manager of SIP (China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park) Science and Technology Development Company Ltd. Presenting the salient features of the park situated at the historic city of Suzhou at a CII meeting here on Wednesday, she said construction of 3.8-lakh sq.mt. fifth phase, christened `Creative Industry Park', had begun last month. Listing a variety of tax sops and other services offered by the Government, she said several subsidies too were on offer by the local Government. Stating that China could prove to be a good base for companies, she said Government procurement market was fast growing and was expected to touch $1.9 billion by 2009. The upcoming Olympics in 2008 too could trigger growth opportunities. The telecom sector also offered opportunities, particularly in the areas of tariff calculation systems.
