RWDI, world's leading wind engineering consulting group, has set up its Asia-Pacific R&D centre at Technopark here. Wind engineering is essentially concerned with determining the impact of wind on tall buildings, bridges and other structures and provides necessary inputs. RWDI is a Canadian company with labs in Canada, the US and the UK and has been consultants to projects such as the Petronas Towers, Kuala Lumpur.One of their recent projects is the Burj Dubai, which will be the tallest in the world, when completed. Dr Peter Irwin, President of RWDI, lighted the ceremonial lamp to launch the India Centre at Technopark.
