Airports project: SC to hear Anil Ambani group plea on July 3

Our Bureau

New Delhi , June 1

The Supreme Court today posted for July 3 the special leave petition by Anil Ambani group against the award of contracts to GMR and GVK groups for the modernisation of Delhi and Mumbai airports.

The two-judge bench of Mr Justice C. K. Thakker and Mr Justice Arijit Pasayat said they would post the matter for further directions from the Chief Justice whether the current bench consisting of Mr Justice Thakker and Mr Justice Pasayat or another bench will hear the petition filed by Reliance Airport Developers Pvt Ltd (RAD) challenging the award of contracts.

Sources maintain that the latest move would not affect the on going modernisation programme.
