LVB hikes deposit rates

Coimbatore, June 10

Lakshmi Vilas Bank has proposed to increase rate on its deposits by 50 basis points from June 12. The interest rate on deposits with tenure of 2-5 years would be hiked to 8 per cent (7.5 per cent) and for those beyond 5 years from 7.75 per cent to 8.25 per cent. Senior citizens would get 0.75 per cent more than the proposed rate for maturity period of one year or more and on deposits exceeding a minimum of Rs 5,000.
