Soft drinks

The Union Health Minister has been practical in appealing to film stars not to advertise for soft-drinks because of their hazardous effects. Earlier too the Minister had invited a Bollywood star to participate in a publicity programme against smoking.

It is senseless to exempt cola drinks from printing ingredients on their bottles under the guise of trade secret. Compulsory printing of ingredients on cola-bottles will clear doubts about the presence of any intoxicant or addictive substances.
