Profit taking seen on Aztec

Aztec Software, which dropped by 14.5 per cent, ended the day as among the worst losers. It closed at Rs 121.65 on the NSE, a neat Rs 23 lower than its opening mark. The decline, marketmen feel, is prompted by steady sale by investors who wished to exit by booking profits.

Aztec Software, which has its 52-week low at Rs 108, is over 40 per cent controlled by promoters. FIIs held about 17 per cent at the end of last fiscal, while the public had nearly 14 per cent. Trading on Wednesday was low-key, with a little over 38,000 shares being traded.
