LIC first premium income

The Thiruvananthapuram division of LIC earned first premium income of Rs 330.96 crore last fiscal. Speaking to newspersons today, Mr L. Ajith Kumar, Senior Divisional Manager, said that in the current fiscal, the division has so far earned first premium income of Rs 134.75 crore. Last year, it settled claims worth Rs 167.02 crore. LIC is examining the feasibility of setting up satellite offices for some of its branches in the division. It is also looking at launching micro-insurance products soon. `LIC Zindagi Express', a mobile rail exhibition organised by LIC, will arrive in Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday. - Our Bureau
