Mumbai , June 23

Hurix Systems, a player in the learning solutions space, will market e-Learning modules from Cathay Pacific to airlines globally.

An agreement to this effect was signed between the two companies on Friday.

Cathay Pacific's library of training courses will be customised by Hurix according to the requirement of the client airlines, said a joint statement.

There is a severe shortage in the number of qualified trainers worldwide which this tie-up plans to address, said the statement.

The e-Learning modules delivered through the tie-up will enable airlines to trail personnel in areas such as safety and emergency procedures, aircraft performance, pre-flight checks, cabin crew induction, and procedures for ground crew.

"The aviation market is growing exponentially," said Mr Viswamitra Hariharan, COO, Hurix Systems. He said this would help Hurix to leverage its marketing strengths to create a new revenue stream.

This week, Aptech too had announced the acquisition of an aviation training company based in Pune.
